Born and raised in Mississippi and Virginia, Xavier McGee, better known as Chef X, fell in love with food and the art of cooking at an early age. Constantly shadowing his grandmothers in the kitchen, he not only learned recipes and traditions indigenous to his family, but he learned key tenants that helped cultivate and define his culinary career as an adult: how to connect with others through food and the art of genuine hospitality.
Chef X started working at local restaurants in Richmond, VA and Atlanta, Georgia. He has learned from Michelin Star and James Beard Award chefs. This helped him realize his true purpose to create a platform to become a culinary influencer and chef entrepreneur. With a clear focus and his hunger for creating experiential moments through food and service. Chef X was able to create a path for himself as a go to chef for celebrities, entertainers, and businesses.
